ABOUT IPTAY AND CLEMSON ATHLETICS:

The Clemson University Athletic Department, one of the nation’s premier athletic and academic brands, sponsors 21 NCAA Division-I sports and supports more than 500 student-athletes. The department relies on the support of IPTAY (originally – I pay ten a year), which was founded in 1934. It is now one of the of the most successful athletic fundraising organizations, providing millions of dollars in scholarships for student-athletes and non-athletes alike and substantial support for programs and facilities that help Clemson Athletics build championship-level programs. As part of IPTAY, Tiger Team attendants help student-athletes be top competitors both on the field and in the classroom and receive many opportunities that come with being a part of this important organization. IPTAY is supported through annual donations, gift planning, and major gifts. Each is vital to the success of Clemson Athletics.

IPTAY MISSION STATEMENT:  

IPTAY provides resources to support the academic, athletic, and personal development of Clemson University student-athletes and the competitive success of Clemson Athletics.  

 JOB SUMMARY: 

Tiger Team attendants are responsible for providing exceptional hospitality to all suite and club seat holder during Clemson football games at Memorial Stadium and while working additional athletics, donor, or special events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following: 

  • Assist the Premium Hospitality team in strategically executing gameday operations for premium spaces, ensuring seamless and exceptional customer experiences for Memorial Stadium 
  • Prepare suites and club in Memorial Stadium for guests' arrival prior to when gates open. 
  • Respond promptly to guests’ requests during the game.  
  • Secure and clean suites and club areas post-game. 
  • Collaborate with catering, custodial, and security team. 
  • Uphold exclusivity of Premium areas.  
  • Ability to answer questions from guests. 

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Able to work all 7 home games at Memorial Stadium: September 7, September 21, September 28, October 19, November 2, November 23 and November 30.
  • Service-first mindset.
  • Highly motivated, personable. 
  • Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills. 
  • Detail- oriented.  
  • Comfort with managing multiple requests and tasks simultaneously and accurately. 
  • Ability, desire, and willingness to work collaboratively in a team-based environment with internal and external constituencies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Work a minimum of 8 hours on game day. 
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen. 

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: 

  • Stocking/Unstocking through football season. 
  • Ice stocking in Club locker rooms on game day. 
  • Work in Littlejohn Coliseum at the Coliseum and Courtside Club for Men’s Basketball, Women’s gymnastics, facility rentals and donor events.  

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 18 years or older 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for set-up, service, and clean-up of the suite/club 
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift, including walking up and down stairs and lifting as the work duties demand.
